GJ media

What I think, what I do.

A Little About Me
Hi! My name is Gabriel de Sousa, I'm 13 years old, and I run GJ media.

I'm an only child who's lived in Hampshire, England, all my life. I haven't travelled outside the UK very much (due in no small part to a fear of flying I've only recently got the better of), but I enjoy visiting new (and sometimes old) places very much - though I like to spend most of my time around the area I live.

I'm home educated, agnostic, and I decided to become a vegetarian when I was 7 years old. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music and learning to play the piano. People usually don't believe me when I tell them my age, because of my smallish size and highish voice, which can be both enjoyable (confounding expectations) and rather less enjoyable (being sent to the colouring table).

My favourite book is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, and my favourite non-fiction book “What Do You Care What Other People Think?” By Richard Feynman. Beethoven is the dominating force in my music library, and I generally lean towards Classical, Folk and Jazz when I'm listening to music. I also love all things Star Trek, The West Wing and Peanuts (The Charlie Brown Kind, not the crunchy, edible kind), and, to a lesser degree, an eclectic bunch of various other fictional works. I don't watch a lot of TV, but enjoy listening to BBC
Radio 4.

I play badminton at a not-too-bad level, enjoy taking a bicycle ride (I'm still learning), and, bizarrely but happily, I'm interested in - but pretty awful at - falconry: The Hawk Conservancy Trust, near Andover, is possibly my favourite of all the visitor attractions I've ever
been to.

About GJ media
I like to think of GJ media as a personal, digital printing press. It's where I can share my ideas and creative works with the world, with complete control over the environment, and without any adverts or sponsors.

GJ media was first published in 2004, and has recently undergone a major revamp of look, feel, focus and content. Take a look around: I hope you enjoy what's here!
